"As always the Sea Otter pits were brimming with lots of cool bikes, but the crown jewels of the weekend assuredly belonged to the beautifully hand crafted wood bikes built by Renovo."
"I saw the Renovo bikes at Sea Otter 2010 and had a short ride on the R4 and R2. First impression was the ride was sweet. Not dead or lifeless. Good vibration moderation. Not sluggish. I did not have the opportunity to climb but overall very favorable. The frames are beautiful heirloom worthy pieces. Weight is comparable to steel and titanium frames."
International Design Magazine listed the Renovo R4 as 'One of the year's sharpest products' in the New and Notable section, November-December issue.
Aston Martin Magazine chose the Renovo R2 as one of the design worlds' best accessories... perfectly suited to the discerning traveller... a way to simply revel in the journey itself..." If 007 insists, we'll install rocket launchers, parachutes and stuff...
Check out the lateral stiffness testing of eleven frames, from a Surly Steamroller to a Cervelo Soloist and a Colnago Dream, and of course several Renovos. If you're not already riding a Renovo, you might be surprised. The Renovo R4 with wood stays delivers nearly identical stiffness to the Cervelo carbon Soloist!
